Twins Rally In 7th To Edge Marlins

Twins 9 – Marlins 8

Kevin Smith hit a 2 out walk-off single through the left side of the infield to complete a come back victory for the Twins over the Marlins.  The Twins took a 5-2 lead into the top of the 6th when Wes Wiens of the Marlins tied the game at 5 with a three run double.  The Marlins took their first lead of the game when they scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th inning.  Trailing 8-5 the Twins tied the game with four hits and an error to set the stage for Smith’s game winning hit.  Smith finished the game with 3 hits for the Twins while Mike Gordon also had 3 hits and 2 RBI’s.  The Marlins were lead by Steve Willemin and Jeff Lee with 2 hits each.
